Food is okay, prices are great, and it is very fast. The downside is that service is sub-par, but I can look past that.
Accepts credit card, but if you're getting a lunch special they add a service fee of $.50 because it is below $6.00. On that note, the lunch special is below $6.00 for most of the chicken dishes... amazing, and they give you so much food! -

This was our first time ordering from Dynasty Chinese Food. We ordered our traditional Chinese Christmas dinner over the phone.
They said it would be about 20 minutes. They missed that time by 40 minutes.
I get there and the place is 3-4 deep standing at the counter.
My first thought was that this was a positive sign since so many others were patronizing this establishment.
The atmosphere reminded me of our favorite Chinese diner in Saint Joseph, MI. Small establishment. Minimal seating for eating in. All Chinese staff in the kitchen speaking Mandarin. I'm thinking, Yay!, this is our new go-to for Chinese food.
First impressions aren't always correct ... the 3-4 deep at the counter was because they were overwhelmed.
I managed to work my way to the counter and eventually got a glimpse of the kitchen. It was chaos, and not the organized activity that only looks chaotic to an outsider.
They asked me what I ordered. Our order was very long and not something that I had memorized. My Spidey sense was tweeked at this point. They had no clue about any orders that were phoned in. They frequently referred to a large piece of cardboard with orders written on it. I didn't see a single order slip anywhere. Nothing.
The lady standing beside me was asked at least 3 times what she had ordered. At least she remembered. They obviously had short term memory issues.
Eventually my family at home texted me our order at which point the guy behind the counter asked me for my phone so he could enter it into the register. Really?
I noticed that as orders were packaged in the kitchen they would stack them in a specific area behind the counter ... way too small an area for a busy diner ... and they were constantly opening the styrofoam containers to see what was in them as they checked for customers orders.
As I said, the staging area was too small so they would move packages to the top of a rice steamer sitting nearby. Then they would move the packages back so that they could serve up some rice.
So let me tell you about the food.
The food was just okay. The house fried rice was good. The fried dumplings were very doughy but otherwise good. The General Tso's Chicken was good. The Beef Teriyaki strips were so small that they couldn't be put onto a stick but there were 3 sticks in the order anyways and it was cold. Egg rolls were good. The Crab Rangoon were good. The fried wonton were okay. The Fried Shrimp were doughy but good. Our order of Lo Mein was missing.
TL;DR
The food was average. The service was horrible. -

Overall, great food. I always plan to go during times when they are less busy because we all know how busy times go for restaurants. My favorite is the Shrimp with veggies! It comes with large pieces of shrimp, broccoli, baby corn, water chestnuts, carrots, green beans, and onion drenched in a brown soy-like sauce (the order comes with a small white rice). In terms of an outing, Dynasty is more of a pick-up restaurant than dine-in due to it being a hole in the wall.

My favorite Chinese restaurant. They have halal options which is why it's my favorite place. The orange chicken and shrimp Lo Mein is my favorite. I love their crab Rangoon too. The prices are great too. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone in the Dearborn Heights area. The workers are very friendly too.
